Hattie Brett: “Get your trainers on and enjoy the mood-boosting benefits of running for a great cause.”

This inaugural digital fundraiser is set to be the most stylish race on earth, says Grazia, with a mission to support the British fashion industry and many more charities in the UK.

The Fashion Run takes place 18-22 September during London Fashion Week. Fashionistas everywhere can take part in the virtual 5K race, with money raised being used to support the UK fashion industry via the British Fashion Council Foundation. Runners can also select one other charity to support, from a choice of: MTV Staying Alive, Mermaids, Wild At Heart Foundation, Chickenshed Theatre, Rays Of Sunshine, AKT, Diana Award, Dress For Success, Great Ormond Street and The Stroke Association, or for a cause of their own choice through Just Giving.

Competitors commit to running 5k and can run the full distance in one go or break it up over five days.

“Whatever shape, size, age or ability, the Fashion Run is for everyone. Stylish sportswear, make-up and glammed up hair will be a bonus! Front row looks will earn kudos on the virtual finish line,” says Grazia.

Anyone wanting to get involved can register from September 1st 2020. A one-off payment of £25 will cover the donation to the British Fashion Council Foundation and a Fashion Run 2020 pack, consisting of an issue of Grazia, an exclusive t-shirt by fashion designer Julien Macdonald in conjunction with Hit + Run the ethically sourced Tee Shirt company amongst other things.

Along with copies for every participant, Grazia is supporting The Fashion Run with coverage including, a full page promotion in the 8 September issue, content on Grazia Daily, inclusion in the subscriber’s newsletter and social posts on Grazia channels.

Hattie Brett, Editor of Grazia, commented: “We know that feel-good fitness is something that’s never been more important to our audience. So, we’re delighted to be teaming up with The Fashion Run. Get your trainers on and enjoy the mood-boosting benefits of running for a great cause.”

Nick Ede, founder of The Fashion Run also commented: “I designed the Fashion Run to help inject a dose of positivity into 2020. We’re so happy to be partnering with fashion brand Grazia, whose commitment to fashion, health and fitness, fits perfectly with the Fashion Run ethos. We hope to see all its readers out there, looking fabulous and taking part to support great causes… and perhaps getting a little fitter in the process. Charities up and down the country have been severely affected by Covid-19 and if the Fashion Run can help people, then let it. It’s all about the three f’s Fashion, Fitness and Fundraising.”
