Guardian appoints Director of Digital Development

Guardian News & Media (GNM) has announced that Tanya Cordrey has been appointed Director of Digital Development.

As part of GNM's digital-first strategy, Tanya (pictured) will oversee the newly formed digital development team, which is responsible for developing and launching a wide range of products including iPhone, Android and iPad apps, Kindle editions, as well as new features and digital projects within guardian.co.uk.

Continuing the work she has done in the role on an interim basis over the last few months, Tanya will focus on product innovation and delivery.

Adam Freeman, Executive Director, Commercial, said: "Readers and commercial partners already have high expectations of the Guardian's digital innovation, but we are looking to raise our game even further as we bring a stream of fantastic new products to market. Tanya has been instrumental in transforming our digital development team and we are very happy to have her on board on a permanent basis."

Cordrey said: "I am thrilled to be working with such a talented and inspirational team that is recognised around the world for the quality of its digital output."

Tanya Cordrey has 13 years' experience within digital businesses.
