Handbag.com launches Annual Beauty Awards 2011

handbag.com, the home of fashion, beauty, hair and celebrity, has launched their annual Beauty Awards 2011 – a celebration of the country’s must-have hair and beauty products.

The handbag.com Beauty Awards not only recognises beauty brands and products the nation cannot live without, but also the beauty bloggers who handbag.com readers turn to for expert advice.

Unlike previous years, handbag.com readers have the opportunity to nominate their favourite beauty products and be in with a chance of winning exclusive beauty bags worth £30 and £50, a spa break, a weekend away and all the winning products from each of the 32 categories.

The full list of the handbag.com Beauty Awards 2011 categories is in Notes to Editor.

In addition, handbag.com will be giving away surprise pop-up prizes to lucky readers throughout the campaign.

Reader nominations will close at midnight 18 October 2011 and the top 50 entries with the most votes will be passed onto handbag.com’s expert judging panel, who will decide on the shortlist.

This year handbag.com has enlisted the UK’s brightest beauty experts to find the category winners including make-up artist Lisa Eldridge, celebrity hairdressers Ben Cook and Jonathon Long from London’s Lockonego salon, model and skincare pro Ruth Crilly, manicurist Sophy Robson, international make-up artist Daniel Sandler, handbag.com beauty editor Louise O’Connell and handbag.com editor Rebecca Holman.

handbag.com Editor Rebecca Holman says, “With more categories than ever and our fantastic panel of expert judges, the handbag.com Beauty Awards 2011 looks set to be our biggest yet. We want readers to think about what makes their favourite brands and products and nominate on the basis of why they can’t live without them.”

The category winners will be announced in December.
