Haymarket launches Campaign China

New website campaignchina.com provides Greater China with breaking advertising industry news coverage and commentary in Simplified Chinese.

Haymarket’s Hong Kong–based Asian arm has launched Campaign China, an online edition of Campaign magazine that provides Greater China with breaking advertising news coverage and commentary in Simplified Chinese.

Campaign China, a sister publication to the Asia-Pacific’s marketing communications title Media, has been developed specifically for advertising, PR, media and marketing practitioners in the Greater China region.

The website at campaignchina.com and daily email news bulletin will include coverage of account moves, personnel developments, creative showcases and media news as well as analysis, comment and in-depth sector reports.

Campaign China will draw heavily on its heritage as the sister title to Media and Campaign in the UK and India. This parentage will, claims the publisher, allow Campaign China to bring the finest and most relevant articles and features to a local audience.

Atifa Hargrave-Silk, editor-in-chief of Media, said: “This new online editorial package will offer readers in China the very best balance of Media’s coverage in local language, with immediate breaking news and insights that a print format could not enable us.”

Tim Waldron, managing director of Haymarket Asia, said: “It has long been Haymarket’s strategy that we will use the Campaign brand in local markets, following the launch of Campaign in the UK and Campaign India in 2007. Over the next few months we will also be announcing a number of content syndication arrangements with the leading advertising and marketing publishers in local markets.”
