Hearst launches Delish UK

Hearst UK today announced the launch of Delish, to UK audiences, a destination for recipes and videos that inspires people to get cooking.

Hearst launches Delish UK
James Wildman: “It’s a fun and engaging brand, and we hope to build on the success that our US team has had.”

The launch is an extension of the successful Delish brand which currently exists as a US based website reaching over 36 million monthly unique visitors, under Editorial Director Joanna Saltz.

Everything on the site is created for the home cook – nothing too fancy or complicated, just great recipes that are as fun to cook as they are to eat. Delish UK will bring the same fun, innovative and engaging content as the US website, but with its own unique British flair for UK readers, says Hearst.

The site will cover everything from veganism to the best biscuit for tea dunking, alongside longer form pieces focusing on the importance of local produce to the environment and making food and cooking an enjoyable and accessible activity for people throughout the UK. The main content pillars of the website will be Meals & Cooking, Food News, Cocktails & Drinks and Kitchen Tips & Tools, with video and social media forming a key part of Delish’s offering.

Victoria Chandler will lead a London based team as Editor, joining from Good Housekeeping where she led the brand’s online food offering as Digital Food Editor.

James Wildman, CEO, Hearst UK and President, Hearst Magazines Europe said: “We are so excited to add Delish to the Hearst UK stable. It’s a fun and engaging brand, and we hope to build on the success that our US team has had. We believe it will be of huge interest to a number of different advertisers who are looking to connect with a dynamic, young audience.”

Victoria Chandler, Editor, Delish, said: “I am beyond thrilled to have been appointed Editor of such an incredible brand and I cannot wait to share what we have been working on behind the scenes for these last few months.”
