The awards, now in their eighth year, celebrate the best in British food and produce, from independent producers to the UK's most revered chefs.
Commenting on winning the food personality award, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall said: "I'm thrilled to have been given this award, particularly as it comes from OFM readers – a highly discerning bunch. The magazine and its readers have championed the idea that the way we choose to eat has massive consequences, first for us as individuals, but also for our communities and ultimately for the sustainability of food production on the whole planet.
"That used to be a fringe concept, but now, thanks to campaigning journalism and changing public opinion, governments and industrial food producers are beginning to understand. They are beginning to realise that their whole future, as well as ours, depends on making food production sustainable now, not postponing the issue indefinitely."
