Immediate announces new Bristol HQ

Andy Marshall, Immediate Media Group Managing Director, comments: “I’m delighted that Immediate will be moving into such an iconic building in the very heart of Bristol. The move marks another step on our extraordinary journey of growth since we first came to Bristol 20 years ago. In that time, we have grown and developed into one of the UK’s most successful media businesses, part of an organisation with offices in London and Birmingham as well as Bristol. Our extensive refurbishment means our 500 Bristol staff members will be moving into state of the art offices which will help us to continue to propel our business forward in the decades to come. We are really excited to have found such a brilliant space in the middle of such a brilliant city!”

Since forming in 2011, Immediate’s Bristol division has doubled in size, and now employs around 500 people who work across a wide range of professions; from journalism, sales and design, to video production, digital and app development. Immediate Bristol is home to some of the UK’s most popular consumer brands, including BBC History Magazine, BBC Focus, BBC Wildlife Magazine, BBC Countryfile, Mollie Makes, BikeRadar and Cycling Plus, as well as Immediate’s Branded Content team, who produce print and digital content for an array of brands, charities and universities, including: English Heritage, RSPB, Cineworld and Plymouth University.

The move to Eagle House signals the health and success of the business, providing room to grow and expand, says Immediate Media. The Bristol division makes up an important part of the larger Immediate business, with its headquarters in London and further offices in Birmingham, Redditch and Manchester.

Immediate says it has worked closely with interior architecture consultancy Lorenc to create a sustainable inspiring and fully refurbished space for Immediate employees.

Adam Lorenc, Director at Lorenc, adds: “We have been very privileged to work with Immediate Media on their new Bristol home. Right from the outset Immediate were very clear about their values and were able to articulate their needs and their working culture. It is great to work with an organisation who are passionate about what they do and who are genuinely interested in the design of their workplace as a real asset.”
