IPC Media appoints Social Media Product Manager

IPC Media has announced the appointment of Cathy Ma to the new role of Social Media Product Manager across the IPC portfolio.

Cathy Ma (pictured) will be responsible for managing IPC’s social media development roadmap – working alongside the publishing, editorial, marketing and technology teams – and will report directly to IPC Digital’s head of programme management, Tara Lee Whitaker.

Tara says: “I am very pleased to announce Cathy’s appointment as social media product manager. Cathy’s wealth of experience makes her the perfect candidate to inform IPC’s social media development programme and ensure that we continue to grow our online communities and improve user experience across the board.”

Cathy moves to IPC Media from a social media consultant role at Vodafone. Prior to that, she worked at Yahoo! where she held the post of programme manager: User Experience and Community Features.

Cathy says: “Social media has grown into an increasingly popular medium for people to connect and share over recent years, but good quality content still sits at the heart of creating meaningful user experiences.
