IPC Media sells Loaded to Vitality

As part of the review of IPC Media’s niche and specialist titles, the company has announced the sale of Loaded, Superbike, Prediction and Hair to Vitality Publishing.

According to IPC Media,

Loaded – aimed at 18-30 year-old-men, Loaded presents the edited highlights of a young man's interests and aspirations: sport, cars, grooming, beautiful women and gaming.

Superbike – Britain's best-selling sports bike magazine, Superbike focuses on serious testing, technical features and in-depth bike reviews.

Prediction – if you're looking for information on angels, the meaning of dreams, the tarot, holistic healing and more, Britain's original mind, body and spirit magazine is likely to cover it.

Hair – with hundreds of great styles, celebrity inspiration, tips and advice from the best hairdressers and exciting news on must-have products, Hair is the total guide to great hair.

The deal sees Vitality acquire the brands – currently published within the IPC Inspire and Southbank portfolios – with immediate effect. There will be no interruption to the publishing schedule of the titles.

Vitality Publishing is a consumer-led magazine publisher with head offices in London and a portfolio including Attitude, Perfect Hair, Hair Now and Women’s Fitness.

IPC Inspire managing director Paul Williams says: “Loaded, Superbike and Prediction are all iconic brands in their sectors, consistently delivering to the passions of their readers. Vitality is a great new home for each of the titles; and I’d like to personally thank the teams for their continued commitment during the strategic review, and to wish them all the very best for the future.”

IPC Southbank managing director Jackie Newcombe says: “I'd like to thank the team on Hair for the passion, commitment and professionalism they have always shown to the brand. With Vitality they have a new owner that is totally committed to the hair sector and so I wish them all well in what I am sure will be a very bright future."

Peter Hatch of Vitality Publishing adds: “We are delighted to have been successful in acquiring these iconic brands and anticipate an interesting and rewarding future ahead as we work together with the professional teams on each of the brands, in both maintaining the high reputations of their brands and developing them to meet the demands of the fast changing and exciting world of magazine publishing.”

Transferring staff will move to Vitality with immediate effect.
