IPC promotes Tara Whitaker

IPC Media web technology director Kelly Waters has announced the promotion of Tara Whitaker to programme director, IPC Digital, with immediate effect.

Most recently head of programme management within the IPC Digital team, in her new role Tara (pictured) will retain her responsibilities for programme management, process and central product development. She will additionally focus on the strategic development of a growing number of key company-wide digital initiatives.

Kelly says: “This is a richly-deserved promotion for Tara and recognises not only her achievements in her current role, but also the additional responsibilities she’s taken on over the last 18 months in leading a whole range of digital development projects.

“This is only set to continue and Tara's new role will enable IPC to benefit from the wider value Tara can offer by working across divisions to implement digital initiatives that benefit the whole company.”

Tara says: “I’m delighted to become IPC’s first digital programme director – the creation of this new role is testament to IPC’s ongoing commitment to expand and grow its digital business. We are working on numerous exciting initiatives at the moment, which I’m confident will help take our online brands to the next level.”
