IPC Southbank to launch Style at Home

IPC Southbank has announced it will launch Style at Home in May, after the pilot of the new monthly homes magazine “exceeded all expectations”.

Style at Home sits in the value sector of the homes market, say the publishers, and targets women who take a budget hands-on approach to home decorating and renovating but who will not compromise on style.

With affordable shopping and decorating ideas, stunning real homes and easy makes that are big on inspiration yet achievable on an everyday budget, every feature is road-tested by a panel of real women who offer their own authentic and original tips and ideas. The value-packed title also includes a 12-page pull-out food magazine providing more than 50 quick and easy recipes. It is priced at £1.99.

Jackie Newcombe, IPC Southbank managing director, says: “It is a well-known fact that we at IPC invest heavily in consumer insight. Through talking to consumers over the past couple of years it has become very clear that increasing numbers of home owners, and even those who rent, want to create a home that truly reflects their personality. Post-recession, people are now more home-based and of course many are looking to stretch their budgets as far as they can. Style at Home caters for this consumer and complements perfectly the other six more premium titles that we publish in the home sector.”

Yvonne Ramsden, publishing director of IPC Southbank’s homes portfolio, says: “With Style at Home, we’re not only tapping into a sector of the market that is growing strongly but we know that it will extend IPC Southbank’s leadership in the home sector and importantly, grow the whole market. We have been delighted with the success of the trial issues published this spring, all of which exceeded our expectations both in sales and advertising. Consumer feedback has been amazing, enabling us to move to a monthly frequency with the June issue, on sale 4 May.”

Editor Jennifer Morgan adds: “We’ve had such great feedback from readers who’ve told us that Style at Home has quickly become their “must-read” magazine. They love the fact that every page is real and relevant and packed with stylish and affordable ideas, quick and achievable projects and easy makes that are creative and fun.”

IPC will support Style at Home with advertisements across its women’s brands, both in print and online.
