Jamie Bill named Executive Director of Condé Nast Global Development

Jamie Bill, the Publishing Director of British Gentlemen’s Quarterly, will become Executive Director of Condé Nast Global Development with responsibility for generating new business across borders, platforms and categories, it was announced today.

Jamie Bill will be based in London, where it has been decided to move the Global Development headquarters from New York. He has been Publishing Director of British GQ and GQ Style since 2004 and serves on the Board of Directors of Condé Nast Britain. He started his career in the organisation as Publisher of Condé Nast Traveller in 2000. Previously he held a number of executive positions at the National Magazine Company, now Hearst UK.

In his new position, Bill will report to the senior management of Condé Nast International and Condé Nast in the US.

“Jamie is one of the most experienced, effective publishing executives in the organisation with the drive and know-how to get things done. He is just the right person to take on this important challenge,” said Nicholas Coleridge, President of Condé Nast International.

Bob Sauerberg, President of Condé Nast US, commented, “Jamie is known and respected on both sides of the Atlantic. I am pleased a publisher of his high calibre has taken on the assignment.”

“The scale and scope for new incremental business across the sectors Condé Nast covers is an exhilarating prospect. I’m looking forward to working with clients around the world, harnessing the global reach of Condé Nast, alongside their ongoing relationships with the individual markets,” added Bill.
