Ian has started his new role last week, with responsibility for the HR function. As a member of the Executive team he will play a key role in the day-to-day management and strategic direction for the publishing group, helping to drive the business and its sales transformation programmes forward in line with continued expansion across all platforms, says the company.
Previous to his role at Johnston Press, Ian held a number of HR director positions in top companies, including Allied Healthcare Group, BT Business and, most recently, Barclays.
Ian, who will report to CEO Ashley Highfield, said: "It’s a privilege to be able to work with such a great team here at Johnston Press, particularly during a period of cultural and business transformation.
