Johnston Press launches online directory

Johnston Press has announced the launch of Find it, its new online directory platform service powered by Qype, the “largest user-generated local review website in Europe”.

The Qype platform has been integrated into Johnston Press’s 234 local newspaper websites, enabling users to search and choose a local business or service, assisted by reviews, comments and ratings of other customers.

Businesses are able to purchase premium listings on the site, giving them access to a range of visibility features which will assist them in attracting new customers.

The Find it launch is being supported by a local advertising campaign spanning print, online display advertising and paid search. Featuring the strap line ‘Your Paper, Your Local Directory’, the campaign emphasises the value that local ratings and reviews bring in helping consumers find and select a trusted business or service.
