Keith Walker appointed editor of Mousebreaker

IPC Inspire Men & Music has announced the appointment of Keith Walker as editor of its UK-based-free-to-play games site www.mousebreaker.com.

This new role sees Keith (pictured) extend his existing editorial responsibilities as online editor of www.nuts.co.uk, which under his guidance has been named number one men’s lifestyle website at The Experian Hitwise UK Online Performance Awards for the last two successive years.

In his expanded role, Keith assumes responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Mousebreaker site, working closely with Mousebreaker Deputy Editor Alan Martin, as well as providing editorial leadership for apps and other digital developments aimed at mass-market British men. Keith continues to report to Publishing Director Jo Smalley.

Keith Walker says: “This is a fantastic opportunity for me and I’m really looking forward to working with the new team and exploring the opportunities that present themselves as we engage with over 5.8 million unique users every month across the two sites.”

Jo Smalley, publishing director of Mousebreaker, adds: “Keith’s experience in driving site performance, his passion and his deep understanding of our portfolio’s male target audience are second to none. I’m delighted that he will be working across Nuts and Mousebreaker, fully leveraging the exciting commercial opportunities for Britain’s number one men’s lifestyle website and the leading UK-based casual games site as we go into 2011.”

Mousebreaker, which recently unveiled a new look, attracts four million unique users each month. The new premium look and feel site showcases more content and a wider variety of games, with the addition of a Platinum Games Hub for Mousebreaker’s most popular game series, including Jumpers for Goalposts, Blast Billiards, Pinch Hitter and Parking Perfection.
