Launch: Blocks

Blocks, a new monthly magazine for “serious Lego enthusiasts” from Blockhead Media Arts, goes on sale 23 October, priced £4.99.

According to distributors COMAG Specialist: Written by enthusiasts for enthusiasts, Blocks is a celebration of everything Lego.

Aimed at fans of the iconic plastic building bricks, both young and old, every issue of Blocks will have the latest news, product reviews and interviews with like-minded Lego lovers from around the world, to inspire readers and provide hints and tips from experts.

Almost everyone had Lego blocks and play sets when they were young, but not everybody grew out of the little bricks and today, thousands of fans around the world still enjoy the hobby - collecting, building and creating set pieces, dioramas, layouts and models.

With online communities thriving and even exhibitions and competitions for builders, the hobby has never been more popular and with Blocks, fans will have their own magazine.

An unofficial magazine, Blocks will review the big releases from Lego and provide in-depth reviews and opinion on each, focusing on the big and the small, covering all palates, whether readers are into the space, castle, custom or creator genres of the hobby.

Featuring many award-winning layouts and Lego builds from around the world; Blocks will show readers how to emulate the experts, build their own custom creations and modify their play sets and layouts to create their own stunning Lego super-builds.

With a free pullout poster of the vehicle, the launch issue of Blocks will take an in-depth look at the UCS Tumbler, Batman’s car in the new film. Featuring every build technique needed to make it with Lego, the magazine asks if it is the finest Dark Knight model ever.

Fully illustrated and beautifully photographed, Blocks will be published on quality paper to better show off the creations, play systems, layouts and other custom-builds featured.

Sure to be a must-have purchase for the serious Lego enthusiast, Blocks will have top tips, expert advice and ‘how-to’ guides for creating, customising and collecting the bricks.
