Launch: Journeys – For The Travel Connoisseur

Pedigree Media Int’l Ltd, a travel publisher since 2003 of travel trade show official catalogues, have launched their first consumer magazine, Journeys – For the Travel Connoisseur.

Up to now Pedigree Media have specialised in publishing prestigious travel show catalogues such as WTM (World Travel Market) Show Catalogue, ILTM (International Luxury Travel Market) Cannes show catalogue and most specifically the PURE Life Experiences Show Catalogue. 

“Luxury travellers are very clear about their preferences,” says Publisher and Founder John Lewisohn who has 20 years’ experience in travel publishing. “No longer drawn by ostentatious services, they have moved towards a quieter, understated luxury and plan their trips with a focus on authenticity and experiential travel.”

Whilst there are a number of excellent and well-known travel magazines published in the UK, say the publishers, Journeys’ positioning specifically focuses on the authentic, the immersive, the life-enriching experience. Its editorial remit is to seek worth, not price.

“We have found,” continues John Lewisohn, “that many travel brands, recognising the trend towards experiential travel, want to promote their authentic credentials and brand themselves as experiential and thus are excited about Journeys positioning and the affluent demographic that it will reach.”

Journeys will be poly-bagged with Country & Townhouse which is distributed to over 50,000 London homes in the most affluent parts of London as well as 10,000 on sale in 2,000 independent newsagents countrywide and a selection of Waitrose, M&S, WHSmiths and Sainsbury’s.

Journeys will initially be published quarterly. The 2nd edition is coming in August and the third in December.

The first edition will reach the residential distribution on 4th May and retail on 7th May.
