Brian Osborn: “We have come a long way in these 20 years, but there are still plenty of stories to tell!”

The archive DVD, which retails separately for £29.90 / $39.90, comes bound in with the issue and is, say distributors Seymour, “packed with added value and huge savings for the reader – a must have issue for Linux beginners and experts alike”.

Linux New Media is a leading Linux and open source content provider in print and online.

“It is amazing to reach this 20-year milestone - that is a very long time in the IT industry” says Brian Osborn, Managing Director of Linux New Media. “We have come a long way in these 20 years, but there are still plenty of stories to tell!”

“Linux was still a relatively obscure operating system that had a small, but strong following” he says reflecting on the course of the last 20 years. “Today, Linux is literally the basis for most of the world's computing resources, covering everything from tiny devices all the way up to the massive data centres that run the internet and the cloud.”

This special edition of Linux Magazine (No. 240 – November 2020) is on sale 3rd October priced at £9.99.
