Nikki Broxup: “We're excited to launch this research initiative and gather valuable industry insights."

LOCALiQ has set forward a UK-wide research initiative to understand how local companies in the UK are reshaping their marketing strategies. Set against the context of economic uncertainty with soaring energy and fuel costs, the UK-wide survey aims to uncover what businesses’ priorities are for the year ahead and identify the most important digital marketing initiatives moving forward.

"As the leading digital marketing partner to local businesses across the UK and with insights into more than 200 local communities through our Newsquest publications, we're excited to launch this research initiative and gather valuable industry insights," says Nikki Broxup, marketing director, LOCALiQ.

The State of Digital Marketing Survey covers topics including usage of various digital channels, budgets and investment plans, staffing, skills, and resourcing. The aim is to gather industry insights and offer guidance on how local businesses can continually enhance their marketing strategies.

The past two years have been incredibly challenging for most UK businesses. Despite the easing of lockdown measures and demand recuperating, there is still great uncertainty about surging inflation, labour shortages, and future sales. Data on the expectations of businesses is therefore important for industry players in helping to inform their judgements and business decisions, says LOCALiQ.

"LOCALiQ wants to understand how local businesses have dealt with and overcome these challenges and identify the most important digital marketing initiatives moving forward," Nikki Broxup, marketing director commented.

The survey data will be made available to business owners, highlighting key trends and common themes. Findings will be presented in a report, providing insights on ways to improve digital marketing strategies for local businesses.

LOCALiQ is inviting business owners and marketers to complete the survey and contribute to this research initiative. After completing the survey, respondents will receive first access to the full report later this year, says the compoany.
