Mag+ adds PetSmart to Client List

Mag+ have just added North America’s leading specialty pet retailer, PetSmart, to its list of corporate clients developing custom apps with the Mag+ platform.

Mag+, a pioneer in publishing platforms for mobile content apps, powered the first ever magazine on the iPad in 2010. Four years and thousands of apps later, corporate publishing now accounts for nearly 80 percent of the clients on the Mag+ platform, says the company.

PetSmart joins Mag+ global brand clients such as Unilever, Maserati and numerous creative agencies choosing Mag+ to create engaging apps for employees, clients and prospects.

PetSmart hired leading custom content agency McMurry/TMG to design an interactive event guide for its recent Field Leadership Meeting. The agency chose Mag+ because it is robust and flexible.

Scott Bolgiano, manager of digital magazines and production technology with McMurry/TMG, says, “Because Mag+ supports HTML so seamlessly, we were able to create and integrate simple and effective note-taking tools for conference participants that allowed them to record—via both keyboard and stylus—their impressions of the event, and email those notes for archiving. The event was a major success, in large part because of the ease-of-use and functionality of the app we developed with Mag+.”

Mag+ customers create product catalogs, sales presentation apps, event guides and employee communication apps. For example, digital design agency CGI Interactive helped Merchant Warehouse, a leading provider of payment technologies, create an enterprise application for both iOS and Android tablets to explain a complicated product simply to potential customers.

“Over the past two years, CGI has seen an increasing demand for tablet-based presentations,” said David Kelleher, president of CGI Interactive. “Our enterprise clients are looking for a presentation app that is easy to deploy, easy to update and budget friendly. Mag+ allows us to offer this complete solution while enabling sales teams to present a visually engaging, cohesive experience that combines custom HTML, interactivity and graphics.”
