MagazineCloner celebrates over 1000 branded magazine apps live on iOS

MagazineCloner, one of the UK’s leading multi-platform digital publishing companies, has announced that it has reached the milestone of 1000 branded magazines apps live on iOS/ the Apple App Store since the launch of the company in early 2010.

The London-based company says it has achieved this number in record time having only passed the 100 app mark in late 2011. The first apps launched in 2010 were those of Vitality Publishing, with titles including Women’s Fitness and Attitude, the milestone 1000th app was that of Hobby Consolas, of Axel Springer Espana, showing the increasingly international growth of the company.

The company’s iOS apps have also recently benefitted from a major version update which has been excellently received, with average App Store reviews currently sitting at an impressive 4 stars, says MagazineCloner. The upgrade was also a notable contributing factor to the significant publisher revenue increases which MagazineCloner recently reported for Q1 2013.

Patrick Knight, Strategic Development Director of MagazineCloner commented: “1000 branded apps on iOS is a hugely significant milestone and to be the first to achieve this, even more so. In the 3 years since MagazineCloner began we have witnessed huge change, and progress, in the digital publishing industry and we are delighted to be a part of this. The 1000 app milestone, the launch of our latest build, 4.9, and the average 4.5 reviews which it has received here in the UK are testament to the efforts of the team here and our publishers who continue to provide fantastic content every issue, whether as replica editions, enhanced replicas or increasingly, ‘custom’ digital editions.”
