Mail Metro Media launches new podcast

Mail Metro Media, the advertising arm of dmg media, have announced the launch of 'Women’s Health: Breaking the Taboos', a new podcast in partnership with Channel 5 and media agency, Wavemaker.

Produced by podcast agency Listen, ‘Women’s Health: Breaking the Taboos’, was available on Apple and Spotify from Tuesday 2 August, and supports a new Channel 5 television show by the same name, which will TX from Tuesday 9 - Friday 12 August at 19.00, says the publisher.

Presented by Cherry Healey, they added, the new series uncovers the secrets surrounding women’s health and explores some of the biggest issues out there, from severe period pains to incontinence, losing your hair to the menopause – conditions that are often kept hidden.

Mail Metro Media say that across the series Cherry joins a variety of women who share their stories, discover what help is out there and embark on treatment. The series will also follow celebrities as they open up about their own personal experiences.

Cherry will also present the podcast, alongside Embarrassing Bodies, Dr Dawn Harper. Guests will include Trisha Goddard, presenter, Lucy Alexander, 80s pop sensation Toyah Wilcox and singer - songwriter, Jamelia, who all discuss their own personal experiences with women’s health issues.

Performance display will directly drive dmg media’s female audience to ‘Women’s Health: Breaking the Taboos’ and the podcast will be promoted across MailOnline with native content, take-overs of the Femail page, and women’s health editorial across desktop and mobile. There will be also be an advertising takeover of Metro newspapers ‘Trends’ section, alongside a number of features dedicated to the subject of women’s health.

In close collaboration with Channel 5 and Mail Metro Media, all planning and project management was led by Wavemaker. ‘Women’s Health: Breaking the Taboos’ is one of several programmes which aim to align Channel 5’s factual programming with the most relevant editorial pillars and content, the publisher added.
