Mail on Sunday to give away £250k worth of advertising

The Mail on Sunday has launched the ‘A Month of Sundays’ competition, giving advertisers the chance to win just over £250,000 worth of advertising space and research value.

To enter, participants must submit 500 words on why their brand wants to advertise on a Sunday and engage with the Mail on Sunday audience.

The winning advertiser will receive four free full colour pages in the Mail on Sunday - one a week for four consecutive weeks - as well as a free campaign on Mail Online each equivalent Sunday. The winner will also receive pre and post advertising effectiveness research and creative pre-testing with creative consultancy.

Advertisers will need to send their entries to mailconnected@mailnewspapers.co.uk with Win £250,000 in the subject header.

Entrants must either be new advertisers to Sunday newspaper advertising or they must not have advertised in The Mail on Sunday the past twelve months (year ending 16 May 2011).

The closing date for applications is 17 June 2011.  One winner will be selected by Marcus Rich (pictured), Managing Director of the Mail on Sunday.

The winner will be notified by Friday 24 June.  The winning campaign must be taken over four consecutive Sundays, any time between 1 July and 30 September.

John Teal, Advertising Director at Mail Newspapers, said: “We are delighted to be providing an opportunity for a new or lapsed Sunday advertiser to take advantage of the unique communications properties which Sunday newspaper advertising brings. We want to fund four weeks of advertising within The Mail on Sunday, a publication which over 5 million people invite into their precious Sundays every week, to prove how effective this medium is. We will also be funding a simultaneous campaign for our winning advertiser on the MailOnline to highlight the synergy between these two mediums and the strength of the Mail brand amongst consumers.”
