Marieclaire.co.uk gets a makeover

Marieclaire.co.uk, the website from upmarket fashion glossy Marie Claire, is sporting a fresh new look to reflect a redesign and new vision for the magazine, which is revealed in the current September issue.

The developments on marieclaire.co.uk include a redesign throughout, incorporating the brand’s new pink and black colour palette and new fonts. The site also has updated navigation, including prominent quick links to blogs and videos, and a new footer, which includes links to all the key franchises across the site.

Also new to the site is a Good Book Club, which offers visitors 60 per cent off the editor's pick of the month at amazon.co.uk, and a Film Club, which offers visitors free preview screenings. In addition, there is a new Diet Club in the health channel and there are recipes within the lifestyle channel, to reflect Marie Claire’s re-introduction of food content.

Marieclaire.co.uk editor Carla Bevan says: “With all the work that has gone into the new vision for Marie Claire magazine, it was extremely important to us that the website reflected the highlights, including the fabulous new colour palette. We also used the opportunity to expand our offering, adding a whole range of Marie Claire 'clubs' – making the site even more of a must-visit daily destination.”

Associate publisher Roger Cummings adds: “Building on an already strong year commercially for marieclaire.co.uk, we’ve had a great response to the refreshed site, with interest from a range of advertisers looking for bespoke integrated campaigns.”

The developments on marieclaire.co.uk follow its launch last month of a new shopping channel, run in partnership with ShopStyle.
