Marketing launches new awards

Marketing have revealed the launch of a brand new awards event, the Marketing New Thinking Awards.

The Marketing New Thinking Awards have been designed to celebrate brands, agencies and individuals that are driving a force for change.

Each of the 12 categories represents an important story in marketing today - from Cultural Shift to the Power of Partnership - celebrating strong brands and visionary marketers, says Haymarket.

“Our inaugural New Thinking Awards are about showcasing world-class innovation across all aspects of the marketing agenda," said Marketing Editor Rachel Barnes. “This is not about technology, although that plays a core role; it is about the inspiring work that drives the best brands forward to a successful future.”

“It’s not always about big-bang transformational activity. New thinking is evolutionary; it’s a shift in our approach to the challenges and opportunities we face each day.”

Marketing have announced that Roisin Donnelly, Procter & Gamble’s Brand Director for Northern Europe, and Jonathan Mildenhall, CMO of Airbnb, will take the lead on the judging panel.

The growing list of client-side judges so far also includes: David Pemsel, deputy chief executive of Guardian News & Media; Chris Popple, managing director for RBS' digital division; and Gav Thompson, incoming CMO for Paddy Power.
