The announcement follows Shortlist Media’s continued drive to increase its content partnerships, after growth of 11% in 2017, with the aim to cement its position as a world class content business for brands.

Family is pivotal to the success of the company and accounts for over 50% of overall revenue for Shortlist Media. Phare will be responsible for the look and feel of all campaigns produced by Family and work alongside Shortlist Media’s editors and commercial leads to produce content that delights and inspires its Met Set audience, says Shortlist Media.

As a founding member of Shortlist Media, Phare has a wealth of experience. He created the look for both ShortList and Stylist magazines.

Sophie Robinson, Chief Marketing Officer at Shortlist Media said: “Family’s launch has been a fantastic whirlwind for Shortlist Media and our creative partnerships have driven revenue into both our established and new platforms, with non display now being over 50% of our revenue. Matt’s creative vision has played a hugely central role in the success of our portfolio of brands as his understanding of how to visually excite the Met Set audience is second to none. Matt joining Family is a really exciting development and demonstrates our commitment to our commercial partnerships going forward.”

Matt Phare, Creative Director at Shortlist Media said: “Working on our great portfolio is an honour for me. We have won many accolades for our brands and I can’t wait to help other brands achieve the same success.”

Matt’s additional responsibilities are effective immediately.
