Media 10 announces new editor for ICON

Priya takes up this role with immediate effect to drive the continued growth of ICON across its multimedia platforms, which include print, web, social and live events, says Media 10.

Media 10 Editor-in-Chief Lisa Allen says: “Priya has a fantastic track record of producing creative and engaging content for leading art and design brands, including Frieze, Disegno, the White Review and Modern Magazine, as well as a rich background working at cultural institutions like the Victoria and Albert Museum and the British Council. Having also trained in design history at the Royal College of Art, she has the perfect blend of experience and expertise to lead the exciting multimedia development programme we have planned for ICON and to capitalise on the growing audience for authoritative commentary on design and architecture.”

Priya has worked closely with commercial teams to develop creative partnerships with clients across both print and digital.

She says: “I’m passionate about translating the material world into stories that speak to broad audiences and the culturally engaged, so I’m absolutely thrilled to be the first woman to take up the Icon editorship. ICON is renowned for its insightful analysis of design, architecture and visual culture with contributions from leading design thinkers. In a time of division and inequality, design can be a force for social good and platforms for critical reflection are needed more than ever.”
