Metro partners with High Street Fashion Week

Metro is the official media partner of High Street Fashion Week, this year’s go-to event for every London fashion addict on 5-9 September.

This is the third High Street Fashion Week which will see fashion shows, exhibitions, late-night shopping evenings and launch parties where high street brands will unveil their autumn/winter collections.

Metro plan to produce five 24-page bespoke fashion newspapers throughout the week with dedicated high street fashion content edited by Metro’s Style Editor Bel Jacobs.

100,000 copies of the bespoke papers are planned for distribution every day around Oxford Street in London. The special issues will contain fashion news and features, event listings, special offers, competitions and top tips on what to wear this autumn.

High Street Fashion Week will launch with a Metro cover wrap on 5 September. Metro.co.uk will also host a High Street Fashion Week hub to support the activity and the site’s style blog ‘Closet Case’ will offer readers an insight into the week’s events and advice on high street shopping.

Sophie Robinson, Creative Planning Director at Metro, said: “We’re planning to do everything we can to help High Street Fashion Week grow and to get as many partners on board as possible. It’s a fantastic initiative for London's fashion industry, and we hope that by highlighting what great style we have on the high street people will flock to Oxford Street this September. At Metro we’re proud to be supporting the high street, the UK retail industry and its diverse talent.”

Bel Jacobs, Style Editor at Metro, said: “This year’s High Street Fashion Week will be even bigger and better and we’re delighted to be able to offer our readers the very best fashion advice and offers from high street shops. I’m currently looking for content for the bespoke fashion newspapers and I’ll also be tweeting my top tips throughout the week from @bel_jacobs.”
