Motors.co.uk launch Android app

Motors.co.uk has become one of the UK’s first online car advertising sites to launch a free search app for smart phones.

This follows the success it has seen from a range of digital services that are revolutionising the way buyers search and choose their next car, says the company.

The new Android app, entitled ‘Motors.co.uk car search’ has been specifically created to make searching for vehicles as simple as possible. It will feature motors.co.uk’s “innovative” search system which allows buyers to search for their ideal make and model from a database of around 150,000 used cars spanning retailers and private sellers across the UK.

This latest addition comes in the same week that motors.co.uk’s virtual online car reviews hit 2 million views on YouTube. The number of video reviews watched on the site leapt by over 400 per cent following the recent redesign of motors.co.uk which features words of wisdom from new brand icon ‘Motor Sensei’, who provides buyers with a trusted source of guidance and advice to help them find their next car. 

As with the motors.co.uk website, the app helps users find their ideal car by evaluating the vehicle against a list of chosen requirements. The app, can be downloaded from the ‘Market’ section of any Android-powered phone, for free, and you can search for it by entering ‘motors’ or ‘car search’ into the search field. Simply touch the app button to install to the phone.

The motors.co.uk Android app is the latest in a series of developments from motors.co.uk to make the car buying process more convenient and accessible for buyers including the launch of the motors.co.uk iPhone app earlier this year which has been downloaded by nearly 70,000 people.

Motors.co.uk, which launched in January 2007, features 15,500 new cars and nearly 150,000 used cars for sale from car retailers and private sellers across the UK. The website provides free history checks, advice and guidance covering every part of the car buying process to help motorists make informed choices about their next car.
