MusicRadar.com partners with Fender for multiplatform offering

Future, the special-interest media group, has partnered with Fender Guitars to create a bespoke micro-site in association with musician’s website www.musicradar.com

MusicRadar.com is a leading site for musicians which claims over 500,000 unique users per month across the globe, and 110,000 users in the UK. The partnership with Fender offers them the ability to reach the largest amount of guitarists in the UK, as well as utilising the video content possibilities available to truly showcase the Fender G-Dec 3 practice amp and bring it to life, says Future.

Created by the in-house multimedia team at Future, the Fender microsite will be promoted through the front page and re-skinned side panels of the Guitar section of MusicRadar.com. The microsite will run for 3 months and will host exclusive video demonstrations promoting the amp; as well as introductions and information from Fender; there is also a video from MusicRadar.com’s Guitar Editor Chris Vinnicombe, putting the amp through its paces.

Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC) is one of the world’s leading guitar manufacturers, and its name has become synonymous with all things rock ‘n’ roll. Iconic Fender instruments such as the Telecaster, Stratocaster, Precision Bass and Jazz Bass guitars are known worldwide as the instruments that started the rock revolution, and they continue to be highly prized by today’s musicians and collectors. The Fender G-Dec 3 practice amp allows users to jam along with backing tracks created by some of the biggest names in rock, blues, metal, country and more.

Matt King, Senior Ad Manager for Future’s music-making portfolio said: “We’re thrilled to be working with Fender on this collaboration; the microsite will really help to inspire musicians who are keen to see how this technology works by seeing our experts testing out the product, and getting a feel for what it can do. Whilst being as targeted as print advertising, online advertising also affords the ability to showcase product visually and with sound which Fender’s micro-site demonstrate perfectly.”

Helen Varley, Marketing Manager for Fender Musical Instruments GBI said: “Fender GBI are very pleased to tie up with www.musicradar.com to bring real life demos straight to the guitar & amp enthusiasts computer. The digital world is fast becoming a reality in every players life now and we believe www.musicradar.com is a great interactive website and platform for educating the world about our new G-Dec 3 amps.”
