Immediate Media Co yesterday announced that Kirstie Duhig has been appointed as editor of HomeStyle.

New editor for HomeStyle
Kirstie Duhig: “I’m thrilled to be joining the HomeStyle team.”

HomeStyle targets homeowners looking for expert advice, savvy design tips and tricks and inspirational style on an affordable budget.

For the past three years Kirstie has been the editor of wellbeing and lifestyle magazine In The Moment, which she helped launch in 2017. She has been an editor and writer for 22 years, with experience in specialist newsstand, women’s weeklies, and contract publishing in the UK and Australia, including Take a Break, Bella, Best and That’s Life, working at Bauer Media, TI Media, Pacific Magazines, Australian Consolidated Press.

Kirstie succeeds Anna-Lisa De’Ath who has led the HomeStyle editorial direction since she launched the title in 2015.

Kirstie Duhig comments: “I’m thrilled to be joining the HomeStyle team – the chance to work on this fantastic title is so exciting and I’m really looking forward to working with the team to grow and develop the brand. Having previously renovated a run-down Victorian terrace, I’ve spent the last four years renovating my current 1930s home and garden. From tiling to wallpapering, floor-sanding to repointing, I’ll have a go at pretty much anything as long as electricity isn’t involved! I’m so excited to have the opportunity to bring my experience to HomeStyle and work with the team to develop this brilliant brand.”

Anna-Lisa De’Ath says: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my years at the helm of both HomeStyle and Your Home. HomeStyle is a fantastic brand with an exciting future ahead, however I feel the time is now right to focus my attention on new editorial projects. I wish Kirstie every success in her new role.”

Marie Davies, Managing Director, Specialist, added: “I am delighted to welcome Kirstie onto the HomeStyle brand where I know she will add great value and lead the brand into the next phase of its journey. Kirstie joins us at a pivotal moment in magazine journalism where we are implementing deeper synergies and audience development across the print and digital platforms within our home interest sector. I would like to thank Anna-Lisa De’Ath for her continued support, dedication and passion for both HomeStyle and Your Home and look forward to continuing our work together as Anna-Lisa develops her freelance career.”

Kirstie is in post from 1st October and will be reporting to Marie Davies, Managing Director, Specialist.
