New line-up at Marie Claire

Marie Claire, the fashion monthly, has appointed a new senior editorial line-up under editor in chief Trish Halpin.

Lottie Berridge is the magazine’s new creative director, Charlotte Moore takes the post of deputy editor and Kasie Davies is features editor.

Lottie Berridge has a wealth of award-winning experience art directing magazines, including heat, FHM and New Woman. She joined IPC in 2005 as group creative director across IPC Connect and she was launch creative director on IPC’s Look. Lottie worked on the recent redesign of Marie Claire and was acting creative director for four months.

Marie Claire editor in chief Trish Halpin (pictured) says: “Lottie played a key role in the research and development of the new-look Marie Claire earlier in the summer. She has since fought off very stiff competition for one of the most prestigious jobs in magazine design and I am certain her creative vision will help drive this iconic brand to even greater success.”

Lottie adds: “This is a fantastic opportunity. I’m really excited about working on such an iconic brand and with such a talented team.”

Charlotte Moore takes up the post of deputy editor, returning to Marie Claire after three years as deputy editor of InStyle. Charlotte was previously features director at Marie Claire and she has more than a decade’s experience in women's glossies, including features writing for Elle and contributing to Red.

Kasie Davies, previously features editor on IPC Connect’s Now, is Marie Claire’s new features editor. Kasie also spent time as deputy features editor at Fabulous magazine and she has experience on newspapers from stints at the Mirror and People.

Trish says: “Charlotte is steeped in the world of women’s glossies and is a brilliant deputy editor – it’s great to welcome her back to Marie Claire. Kasie is an extremely talented editor, who, along with features director Andrea Thompson, will take the compelling and provocative features Marie Claire has become famous for to a whole new level.”

Marie Claire publishing director Richard Johnstone adds: “We revealed a new vision for Marie Claire earlier this year and reaffirmed its position as the intelligent glossy for smart and stylish women. Now, with a new senior line-up in place under Trish Halpin, 2010 is going to be even more exciting.”

Lottie, Charlotte and Kasie take up their posts with immediate effect.
