New MD for Bauer’s Sport & Women’s Specialist portfolio

Bauer Media UK yesterday announced that Steve Prentice has been appointed Managing Director of the company’s Sport and Women’s Specialist portfolio.

Reporting to Sam Gallimore, Subscriptions Director & Managing Director, Women’s Specialist and Hobbies, Steve will take publishing responsibility for Angling Times, Improve Your Coarse Fishing, Today’s Golfer, Trout & Salmon magazine, Garden Answers, Garden News, Modern Gardens, LandScape, Spirit & Destiny and Fate & Fortune as well as consumer events Mother & Baby Awards, The Big One and Your Horse Live.

Steve is a senior executive with 20 years’ experience in cross-platform media, leading and developing digital and print businesses. He joins from TI Media/Future Publishing where he worked as Managing Director of Country Life and Cycling Weekly over the past four years. Prior to that he founded content marketing company High Line, working with clients such as Time Inc UK and Archant.

Steve is no stranger to Bauer Media, having worked first with Emap Consumer Media and later Bauer Media UK in several roles, the most recent being Managing Director of the company’s Sports portfolio between 2008-2013.

Steve takes up the role on 18 January 2021. He replaces Oswin Grady who joined Bauer Media in May 2019 and is leaving the business to pursue other interests.
