New Window Stickers to Boost HND Sales

New window stickers have been produced for newsagents looking to grow their home news delivery sales.

The distinct stickers will immediately tell customers that HND is available from a specific store.

They are available from the NFRN’s Helpline on 0845 601 5818.

The idea for the stickers came from Homelink, an industry group formed by the NFRN and DVS and supported by News International, Mirror Group, Financial Times and the Independent. Since its launch in 2005, Homelink has focused on helping independent retailers to grow their HND operations by canvassing on their behalf for new customers.

Commenting on the new stickers NFRN National News Development Manager Brian Murphy said: “Home news delivery is a unique selling point for independent retailers in their communities everywhere.

“Like the green cross used for Pharmacies everywhere, we envisage that this logo will become instantly recognisable by consumers everywhere. With this in mind we would encourage all HND newsagents to position these window stickers prominently to drive their business forward.”

David Biggs, News International’s Sales and Circulation Director, added: “A home delivery service is a major selling point for the independent retailer, and can add stability to a retailer’s business by virtually pre-selling newspapers. The logo will help retailers to promote this service to their customers.”
