newsawards 2015 – new look for Newspaper Awards

There is a new look to one of the newspaper’s industry’s leading events. Formerly known as The Newspaper Awards, newsawards 2015 has a fresh new format that focuses on three distinct category divisions – Print, Digital and Business.

Additionally, newsawards 2105 has moved to a new central London location opposite Hyde Park, The Lancaster London.

The winners of newsawards 2015 will be announced at a gala dinner on Wednesday 29 April. For information on costs and table bookings, contact helen@newspaperawards.co.uk.

All the categories for newsawards 2015 will be divided into highly focused divisions reflecting the key areas of news media publishing. The Awards focus on the look and commercial qualities of newspapers, both print and digital.

The full list of categories for newsawards 2015 will be announced in the November issues of PJ and on the newsawards 2015 website – www.newsawards.co.uk

Gary Cullum, director of the Awards and editor/publisher of PJ, says: “We’ve had 18 great years with The Newspaper Awards but we really felt that, reflecting the significant changes that the industry is undergoing, we needed to completely refresh our event.

“The printed newspaper remains absolutely key to the industry, continuing to generate a huge percentage of revenue. However the growing importance of digital developments is massive and needed to have its own particular section in the Awards. Similarly, we believe we are now the only event that is also focusing on how newspaper publishers are introducing highly innovative business solutions to succeed in a fast changing market.

“With budgets continuing to tighten, we’ve listened to our sponsors and guests who wanted a fantastic Awards night at more affordable costs. We’ve achieved this by moving to The Lancaster. It’s a great venue that offers all the qualities of a Park Lane hotel without the sometimes exorbitant costs.”
