Newsquest launches Harlow Guardian

The Guardian Series has announced the launch of a new edition – the Harlow Guardian.

Newsquest launches Harlow Guardian
Victoria Birch: ""Every town deserves a newspaper."

The Harlow Guardian covers the town following the closure of the Reach Plc title The Harlow Star, says Newsquest.

The new title hit newsstands last Thursday (14 February) and extends Newsquest's coverage in the west of Essex, where the Epping Forest Guardian has been published since 1885.

The Harlow Guardian, priced at 70p, aims to offer a balanced look at the town, celebrating its successes while holding the powers that be to account.

Group editor Victoria Birch said: "This is a very exciting time for our team and for the community.

"Every town deserves a newspaper, but especially one of Harlow's size and stature.

"Following the sad news that the Harlow Star has ceased publication, we knew we had to step in and provide coverage of this town."
