NewstrAid says its CEO, Neil Jagger along with finance director, Laura Grice and welfare manager, Katie Babooram will be joining another 17 walkers this September to take on the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge in aid of NewstrAid.

The BIG WALK will take place over the weekend of September 16th & 17th and involves a 24 mile round trip including 1385m (5200ft) ascent, tackling the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (694 m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m) in under 12 hours.

Neil Jagger, NewstrAid CEO said: “We have been training hard over the last few weeks and are praying that the weather stays fine for the weekend. Our final hurdle is to reach our fundraising target of £1,500 and are asking anyone from the industry who can spare a few pounds to pledge their support and visit our fundraising page to donate to the cause.”

Anyone wanting to sponsor the NewstrAid team can click here. All the money raised as a result of the challenge will help people from the newspaper and magazine industry who are struggling to make ends meet during the current cost of living crisis, NewstrAid added.

This event is being organised by NewstrAid’s East Midlands Area Committee and is being generously supported by independent magazine supplier, Retail Sparks Connect.
