Newsworks unveils new hub
Jo Allan: “Campaigning journalism has an established track record of successfully fighting for justice and change in our society.”

Newsworks has announced the launch of a new hub with 22 case studies reflecting news brands’ latest achievements, the hub celebrates British journalism’s long-standing tradition of campaigning.

Whether it’s about raising money or awareness, changing government policy or even the law, the case studies reflect the issues that matter to the nation.

News brands from across the industry are represented, featuring campaigns fighting for progress in health, the environment, social justice and community work, says Newsworks.

The hub also spotlights case studies covering how journalism helped the country cope with the Covid pandemic and supported those affected by international crises such as the war in Ukraine.

Commenting on the hub’s launch, Newsworks CEO Jo Allan said: “Campaigning journalism has an established track record of successfully fighting for justice and change in our society, and our new hub spotlights news brands’ commitment to speaking out about the issues that readers care about most.”

As news brands champion new causes on behalf of their readers, Newsworks says it will continue to add to its campaigning hub to demonstrate journalism’s importance to British society.
