Northcliffe and Trinity Mirror join forces

Northcliffe Media are joining forces with Trinity Mirror Regionals to represent their National Media Sales through AMRA.

Under the new arrangement, AMRA, Trinity Mirror Regionals’ sales house will become a joint operating partnership between the two regional publishers. National Classified advertising will be sold through Associated News and Media’s London Classified team under the control of Martin Smith. This team currently support Metro, Evening Standard and Northcliffe Recruitment.

This transfer will be completed by the end of April 2012. Northcliffe will continue to be represented by Mediaforce until the transaction is complete.

Steve Auckland (pictured), Group Managing Director of Northcliffe Media said: “Northcliffe has enjoyed an excellent relationship with Mediaforce for a number of years, but they could not fulfil the geographical platform that AMRA provide through a combined Trinity Mirror Regionals/Northcliffe package. This, with the joint partnership approach made the change too compelling for us to turn down.

“While our teams will miss the Mediaforce team, we are really excited at the prospect of gaining advertising revenue through this new arrangement. We look forward to working with Georgina Harvey and her team at AMRA and extending our relationship with Martin Smith’s London Classified team.”
