PageSuite Launch New Feed-Driven App for The Philippine STAR

The Philippine STAR has upgraded its PDF-driven app to a new feed-driven app that enables them to publish multiple editions per day.

PageSuite’s latest app CMS, PageSuite Live, enables them to utilise their existing content feeds for a multi-platform publishing strategy.

Selected editorial content feeds are input into the app directly from The Philippine STAR’s website and then divided into sections before being laid out in the unique template tool. Publishers then have the ability to re-order the page flow within the app or edit live content if headlines need amending or images need updating.

Tammy Mendoza, Philippine Star VP-Operations said, “We fell in love with this format the minute we laid our eyes on it and are quite happy to deliver the new PS Live Philippine Star app to our readers. This app is the best of both worlds as it lets readers access the replica edition as well as article feeds that are easy to read in one go.”

To access content within the app, readers have the option to purchase a 7-day, 1-month, 2-month, 3-month, 6-month or annual subscription. All subscriptions come with a 14 day trial enabling readers to access the Digital Edition and live feed content.

The Philippine STAR’s new feed-driven app includes the PDF replica edition for readers who prefer to read the news in the traditional format. This can be downloaded and then content can be accessed offline.

The Philippine STAR is the flagship title of the country’s largest media enterprise, the STAR Group. It provides readers with the latest news and entertainment stories from across the country. You can currently download the new app for iPad and iPhone devices.
