PageSuite Launch New Feed-Driven Mobile and Tablet app for Kent News

PageSuite, a digital publishing company with both UK and US operations, has launched a new iPhone and iPad app for Kent News, one of Archant’s regional titles.

The app has been crafted using PageSuite’s new feed-driven digital publishing software, PageSuite Live. This innovative software enables the publisher to craft editions that are perfectly designed-for-device, says PageSuite. The design means that articles fit both phone and tablet screens so users don’t have to zoom in to view content.

Content is fed into the app via feeds which are taken directly from the Kent News website. This requires minimum resource to setup and manage and once the editions have been crafted in PageSuite’s template tool, they can be scheduled to process automatically which helps to streamline the publisher’s workflow. As well as creating unique templates users are also able to edit live content within the app CMS and change the page order via the flat plan.

The new Kent News app also includes the PDF replica newspaper edition for East Kent, Mid Kent, North and West Kent.

Ross Murphy, PageSuite’s Managing Director, said, “We’re delighted to launch this new app for Kent News. PageSuite Live is essentially an ‘app CMS’ that enables publishers to craft editions and choose selective editorial content to feed into their apps. It offers publishers endless opportunities”.

The app is currently available for both iPhone and iPad devices via iTunes.
