Patrick Horton appointed Marketing Director for Bauer Specialist

Patrick Horton has been appointed as Marketing Director of Bauer Media’s portfolio of Specialist titles.

Patrick Horton (pictured) moves from his current position, where for the past three years he has worked as Head of Marketing for Bauer’s Men’s, Music and Film brands in London. In this role Patrick has worked on the development of some of Bauer’s highest profile brands, including the launch of Empire on the iPad and the product evolution of Q and FHM.

Prior to Bauer, Patrick worked for ACP Magazines in Sydney, where he was Associate Publisher of their joint venture with the BBC, launching Top Gear magazine, its website and the Top Gear Live event in Australia and New Zealand. Before that, he was Circulation and Retail Marketing Director for Emap Australia.

Patrick began his media career within the sales team of Frontline before joining Emap where he worked both in the circulation and retail marketing departments.

Rob Munro-Hall, Group Managing Director, Bauer Specialist commented: “I’m delighted that Patrick is joining us in such a key role. He knows the Bauer business well and has extensive multi-platform experience on some of our biggest media brands. I’m sure he will make a significant contribution to our future growth.”

Patrick added: “Bauer Specialist has cultivated some of the most passionate and engaged relationships with its customers of any media company. It’s a brilliant opportunity for a marketer to build on these and develop the business further.”

Patrick joins Bauer Specialist, based in Peterborough, on October 8th and will report to Rob Munro-Hall.
