PCGamer.com unveils upgraded website

PC Gamer, a global authority on PC games, yesterday unveiled its brand new website. The website now boasts an enhanced user experience due to a responsive design platform enabling PC Gamer content to display comfortably on any device.

The simplified navigation and vibrant new layout, which also implements infinite scroll, helps showcase content better than ever, says Future. In addition, the new website features improved ad performance for commercial partners.

PC Gamer has over 20 years of heritage. According to the publishers, it currently reaches over 9.1 million monthly unique users through PCGamer.com and has 2.75 million followers on Facebook, more than any other videogame publication. PC Gamer’s global team works around the clock to bring readers breaking news, expert reviews, and in-depth features.

The relaunch will also see PC Gamer placing renewed emphasis on hardware content, with a dedicated Hardware Editor overseeing a new series of component buyer’s guides, custom PC builds, and easy-to-follow technical advice for players just getting started.

The new site will host a variety of great video content, including impressions on new releases, event coverage, and high-res footage of games running on our $10,000 super computer, The Large Pixel Collider. PC Gamer also produces a new episode of The PC Gamer Show bi-weekly, taking viewers behind the scenes with the team for exclusive game demos and developer interviews.

Tim Clark, Global Editor-in-Chief of PC Gamer, says: “Since launching in 2010, pcgamer.com has exploded in popularity. This refresh reflects both the needs of modern gamers and the depth and breadth of content which our team of experts and enthusiasts creates every day.”

Declan Gough, Head of Content and Marketing for Film, Games and Music, adds: “The upgraded PCGamer.com reflects our commitment to doubling down on one of Future's most important gaming brands. With an international team of experts, PC Gamer remains the global authority on PC gaming culture with an enormous and passionate audience, and the new version of the site brings a renewed emphasis on hardware coverage alongside our already successful existing array of content."

SEGA’s Alien: Isolation has signed up as one of the official launch partners.
