PhotoPlus celebrates 100th issue with major redesign

Future plc's Canon photography magazine, PhotoPlus, is celebrating its 100th issue with a fresh new look, an increase in pagination, and two free gifts.

On sale from 28th April, the redesign is the first in the title's history, and includes major new sections written by some of the world's leading Canon experts.

Signing on as regular contributors are Andrew James (formerly Editor-in-Chief at Bauer's Photography Magazines), Brian Worley (formerly of Canon Europe), and top landscape photographer, David Noton.

They join the existing PhotoPlus team to deliver an all-new magazine packed with even more Canon-specific advice and inspiration through 148 pages, says Future.

The new-look title has even reinforced its Canon credentials with a spring clean of its masthead and name. The new PhotoPlus: The Canon Magazine, is a fresh new title in the sector that offers more value for money and more Canon-specific advice than any other title, say the publishers.

Issue 100 kicks off a regular in-depth interview with a top Canon pro, starting with legendary American nature photographer, Art Wolfe. Plus, a huge buyer's guide has been added, giving readers at-a-glance reviews and info for all Canon cameras, Canon-fit lenses and accessories.

Every issue of PhotoPlus: The Canon Magazine comes with a free coverdisc packed with video tutorials to help readers learn camera and image-editing skills. Plus, issue 100 features part one of a free Portrait Posing Tips Card series that will build into an essential collection over the coming months.

Future says: Launched in 1997, PhotoPlus introduced a completely new style of photographic magazine to the UK newsstand, aimed solely at users of Canon digital SLRs. The bold move instantly found fans amongst enthusiast photographers who wanted more detailed camera skills tutorials and who were only interested in gear tests that covered lenses and accessories which were compatible with their EOS bodies.

The magazine was originally designed for new D-SLR users, but now our readers are on their second or third camera body.
