PPA Advertising Awards – Winners Announced

GoodStuff, Initiative, MediaCom, Mindshare, and UM London claimed the spoils at this year’s PPA Advertising Awards, which celebrate the best planning across multi-platform magazine brands in the UK.

MediaCom triumphed in two categories: Best Innovation for its SONY Mobile Xperia Z1 Compact ‘Great Things Come’ campaign with Shortlist, and Best Use of Print for the GSK Night Nurse ‘Hidden London’ campaign with Time Out.

Best Integrated Campaign went to Initiative; Best Use of Social Media was awarded to UM London; and Mindshare took the award for Best Use of Content.

The Best Partnership or Collaboration category was claimed by GoodStuff for Eklectik Magazine, produced for Kopparberg UK.

The PPA Advertising Awards were presented by Julian Lloyd Evans, Chairman of PPA Marketing and Managing Director of Advertising at Dennis Publishing, at Paramount in London’s Centre Point on October 8.

The event, supported by media partner Brand Republic, has grown year-on-year since it launched in 2011, with the highest ever number of entries recorded in 2014, says the PPA.

James Papworth, PPA Marketing Director, said: “Every year since the PPA Advertising Awards launched in 2011 we have seen growth in both the quality and quantity of entries so congratulations to our winners for 2014 who stood out among an impressive field.

“We’re proud to be able to recognise the agencies, advertisers and campaigns that are pushing what can be achieved with the powerful multi-platform magazine brands across the industry.”
