Practical Motorhome launches new-look website

Practical Motorhome, Haymarket’s motorcaravanning title, yesterday launched its all-new website.

The new-look, fully responsive www.practicalmotorhome.com, carries the same expert reviews, blogs, news, advice and competitions as before, but now works elegantly on mobile and tablet devices, too, says Haymarket.

New social media integration makes it easier for readers to interact with the Practical Motorhome team and each other by sharing content. Plus, Practical Motorhome’s popular forum also gets a facelift, as well as extra features to better serve the brand’s audience.

In addition, for the first time, practicalmotorhome.com features integrated video content, bringing the brand’s motorhome reviews, travel guides and more from Practical Motorhome’s TV shows on The Motorhome Channel, a co-production with Information TV, to the website’s users.

Another brand-new feature of this website is the integration of Nightstops. This is a scheme set up in 2008 by Practical Motorhome in conjunction with The Motor Caravanners’ Club, which grants sites such as pubs, hotels, farms and car parks a licence to allow up to five motorhomes to stay at a time – often for very little, sometimes for free. With over 40 Nightstops now signed up, this is a richer resource than ever before and, by taking it online, it is easier and more convenient for users, say the publishers.

Niall Hampton, Editor of Practical Motorhome said: “We’re delighted to offer our audience a new and improved version of practicalmotorhome.com. The new features deliver a much better user experience and tighter integration with social media. Working with our sister brands The Motorhome Channel and Caravan Sitefinder, our new site is the only place you need to visit if motorcaravanning is your favourite pastime.”

Alastair Clements, Group Editor, Haymarket Consumer Media said: “The new responsive website puts Practical Motorhome in readers’ pockets no matter where they are touring. The site is the result of months of planning and hard work by the Practical Motorhome digital team.

“We’re very proud of the results, but this is only the first step – we have more exciting plans in the pipeline to make it even bigger and better over the coming months!”
