PSP Holdings launches new digital division

Leading media group, PSP Holdings has continued its expansion into the digital creative sector with the launch of PSP Rare Digital.

With a range of specialist services from website development to digital marketing, user experience (UX) design and mobile applications, PSP Rare Digital aims to help businesses, brands and public sector organisations get the most from their digital communications.

The recruitment of industry ‘veterans’, Clint Golding and Kauro Sato to head up the new dedicated digital media team will enable the group to develop its online and mobile publishing offer. Both have worked together on some of the most successful brands, charities and public sector organisations including The Arts Council and Jeans for Genes.

The move comes as PSP Holdings looks to integrate its current bespoke publishing services through PSPRare Publishing with the explosive growth in the provision of mobile and digital content. With the launch of the new iPhone 4, hot on the heels of the Apple iPad, and the number of Android devices, tablets and e-readers, publishing is set for big changes. It also further underlines the company's commitment to developing its multi-media offer which began last year with the acquisition of STAN, a Manchester-based traditional and digital PR agency.

As part of the move Stephen Greene will be joining the new PSP Rare Digital team in addition to his role at STAN. "Websites and mobile applications are not going to kill off print publishing, but for younger prospects and customers digital communications will be just as important to them.  PSP Rare Digital represents a new and exciting direction for digital agencies in the UK," said Greene.

PSP Holdings’ CEO, Peter Moore (pictured) commented: “As well as continuing to grow our traditional customer publishing business, PSPRare, we remain committed to investing in and working with exciting new companies that can help meet our clients’ growing demand for a fully integrated direct communications service.

“We have often used Clint and Karo in the past for their expertise and insight on projects and, as our customers opt for new ways of connecting with businesses and brands, it made sense to formally make them part of the PSP team at our Clerkenwell head office.”

In its core business, PSPRare continues to produce magazines and commissioned content for clients such as the British Heart Foundation, Vision Express, The Royal Society, Kia Motors and UK Trade & Investment.  “The outstanding content production talent that works on these accounts, combined with our new market-leading digital design skills, now enables clients to source an unrivalled, integrated communications service, all under one roof,” said Moore.
