Following Readly’s acquisition of Toutabo, the digital subscription service ePresse has unveiled a new co-branded name and logo.

Readly completes Toutabo acquisition & announces co-branding with ePresse
Maria Hedengren: “We have strived to offer our service in France for a long time and this co-branded name is the exciting first step that underpins this.”

ePresse has been a part of the Toutabo group since 2015 and offers around 1,000 magazines and 300 newspapers. The ePresse par Readly brand (ePresse by Readly) has now been launched.

This name change is designed as a stepping stone into the integration of the two companies as Readly successfully completes the acquisition of Toutabo. The new logo has been designed to represent both companies and will be visible in the app and web page.

“With this co-branding we are one step closer to becoming one team and one united offer to our existing and new subscribers, publisher partners and commercial partners. With a network of five offices across London, Berlin, Stockholm, Växjö and Paris, we combine a lot of expertise, energy and grit that this co-branded name represents,” says Jean-Frédéric Lambert, co-founder of Toutabo.

The new name, ePresse par Readly is aimed to start raising awareness among the French readers that a greater offer is soon to come, says Readly.

Maria Hedengren, CEO at Readly, says, “We have strived to offer our service in France for a long time and this co-branded name is the exciting first step that underpins this. Although it’s not a combined portfolio just yet, ePresse par Readly demonstrates to all our stakeholders that we are eager to make a strong international portfolio of quality journalism accessible to the French speaking population worldwide.”

France is the largest magazine market in Europe and including newspapers it is estimated to be valued at around USD 7.2 billion in 2021, with a digital penetration of approximately 30 per cent, says Readly.
