Following an initial announcement that the title was to close, discussions with interested parties have resulted in the sale of the title to the NWN Media group.
Two members of staff - one editorial and one advertising - will be transferred with the paper to the new owners by TUPE.
The first edition under the owners will hit the streets in the week commencing 26 October.
Carl Wood, Publishing Director, Trinity Mirror Cheshire, said: "We're delighted we have been able to negotiate the sale of the Whitchurch Herald title and particularly pleased that this has resulted in the saving of two job roles."
