Rob Munro-Hall: “The time has come to take on new challenges.”

During his time as BA President (Publishing), all of Bauer’s publishing businesses were brought together into one portfolio and refocused on its core European territories of Germany, UK, Poland and France.

Rob leaves the Business Area Publishing in a strong position, with a clear strategy and key transformation and growth projects well underway, having successfully steered the business through some of the most challenging years faced by the publishing sector, says Bauer Media.

Rob said: “I have very much enjoyed my time at Bauer but the time has come to take on new challenges. It has been a privilege to work with so many highly professional and passionate teams across the world and I know the business will continue to be a huge success in the future, building on its reach, creative content and growing its digital capabilities.”

Rob joined the Bauer Media Group when the company acquired the EMAP magazine and radio businesses in 2008. He went on to become the CEO of the UK publishing business in 2016.

Bauer Media Group CEO Yvonne Bauer said: “I would like to thank Rob for his outstanding contribution to Bauer. I wish him the very best in the future professionally and personally. We will resolutely drive forward what Rob has successfully set up. We are determined to accelerate the development of our digital products and to secure the future of our business through pioneering strategic partnerships and alliances.”

Bauer Media Group will fill the position of the BA President Publishing as soon as a suitable candidate has been found.

Yvonne Bauer: “Rob has set high bars and will not be easy to replace. But our business is on an incredibly inspiring journey – and we look forward to all creative spirits who want to actively shape our successful path.”
